Natalie is the oldest of three siblings and owes much of who she has become to her family, most importantly her mother who is truly her role model. Natalie’s mother inspires her to never give up and to always keep following her ambitions.

Natalie’s Mom got diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2015. In this journey with her mother, Natalie is relentless in her role as a caregiver and as an advocate for this cause. We tremendously appreciate all of Natalie’s exemplary work in getting the word out on ovarian cancer and in giving this “silent” disease a voice. We sat down with Natalie, to get to know her a little better.
Q: Tell us about yourself.
A: My mom named me Natalie because she is Italian and I was born around Christmas. Boun Natale is Merry Christmas in Italian.
Q: You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
A: Coral! I can’t believe they don’t have it in the box. It has always been my favorite color. It’s a vibrant color that makes me smile! AND I love mixing it with TEAL!!! My absolute other favorite color.
Q: What inspires your inner sparkle?
A: My mom, when she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, my whole outlook on life changed. I wake up so thankful for every day that I’m here. I pay attention more to the little things I used to take for granted, I appreciate relationships with friends and family more and I try to challenge myself to do something new or learn something new every day. It has brought me peace I never knew possible.

Q: Tell us about a significant challenge you have Ovarcome? Share your 2 words of wisdom!
A: The biggest challenge of my life has by far been my mom’s diagnosis with ovarian cancer. She is my best friend and my role model. Cancer tries it’s best to rear it’s ugly head and take it’s toll on not only the patients but their family. However, I do feel that it helps you to understand a very important lesson, there is no greater blessing than family. Not only have my siblings and I realized that together we can get through anything, more importantly it’s given my mom the strength to keep fighting and keep enjoying life!
There is nothing we can’t Ovarcome together. TOGETHER, We Can Ovarcome!
