CAREGIVING IN OVARCOMING

A caregiver provides varying degrees of support and comfort throughout the journey of Ovarcoming. They bestow love and consider it their honor to care for another person. A caregiver is often a family member or friend, or someone who has a personal relationship with a person diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Tell them more often…”Because of YOU, I Ovarcome”

Each day, we pay tribute to all Caregivers who walk the path of OVARCOMING hand in hand, with unwavering love and support. Every day is a GOOD day to recognize those who care for us. We are so grateful for all Caregivers who give their all – thank you for being there each moment and every day. Let’s Keep Ovarcoming Together!

Support and communication

How may I best support my loved one through Ovarcoming?

  • Don’t forget that your loved one is a person first. Their ovarian cancer diagnosis does not define who they are, and it does not define their essence.
  • Try to pick activities or conversation topics that have absolutely nothing to do with their diagnosis to remind them of life outside of their cancer.
  • Remind your loved one that they are not alone.
  • Set aside time, as feasible, to engage in activities you enjoyed together before their diagnosis like date nights, family game nights, walks, and other activities

In honor of our Caregivers, we have created this resource document. Please view the document here:
