Ovarcome Receives Funding From IACF at their Annual Grant Awards Night, 2017

The Indo-American Charity Foundation (IACF) recently hosted their Annual Grant Awards Night on June 29, 2017. Ovarcome was selected by the Board Members of the Foundation, among 20 other exemplary non-profits making meaningful contributions to the communities they serve. IACF presented Ovarcome with this recognition at their 2017 Grant Awards Night event. This is the second consecutive year Ovarcome has received a grant from IACF in recognition of our work and in support of our mission.

The other deserving non-profits selected are committed in doing extraordinary work in education, empowerment, family welfare, healthcare, domestic abuse, advocacy and human welfare.

Our sincere thanks to IACF President, Dr. Vanitha Pothuri and and the Board of Directors for considering Ovarcome as one of the beneficiaries. It is an honor to be selected among an outstanding group of non-profits creating a powerful impact in their field of engagement.

This grant by IACF will be utilized to provide OvarCare Financial Assistance Packages to ovarian cancer patients in need. At Ovarcome, we are inspired by the simple philosophy of support, love, and celebration of life. Overcoming cancer – celebrating life! We are here to help women as they fight the battle against ovarian cancer. Our care package helps them take care of essentials as they undergo treatment while feeling relaxed, calm and beautiful. OvarCare is a package especially designed for ovarian cancer patients in need for financial assistance to celebrate these incredibly strong and resilient women.

Via OvarCare Counseling we are pleased to offer: Up to 6 sessions of support for up to 6 months Meetings by phone in any location in the U.S. Supportive services to OvarCare grant recipients Information, resources, referrals as needed and requested Our OvarCare counseling sessions are designed to provide support through the journey of Ovarcoming Ovarian Cancer and are not deemed to be psychotherapy services. Our members are ready to provide compassionate and meaningful support via active listening, providing gentle guidance in navigating the often-challenging course of diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, and in providing effective tools and resources to Ovarcome.
