About The Program
After the pandemic hit in 2020, Ovarcome quickly transitioned to offering our programs and services virtually. It became increasingly obvious that the global community of Ovarian Cancer Survivors or OVARCOMERS as we call them, are constantly engaged and interested in not only assimilating information about the latest & greatest advances and scientific discoveries, but also in staying connected, and sharing and mingling with others that have been through the journey of OVARCOMING. After about a year of providing informal virtual meet ups, we decided to launch our TEAL TRUTHS: Online Group Counseling Series in January 2021.
Open only to our OVARCOMERS and family members, the TEAL TRUTHS program offers a safe digital space to our participants to come together to mingle, to share the smiles and the sorrows, and seek guidance from our Licensed Clinical Social Workers that host and moderate the program. Under expert professional guidance, these monthly sessions are focused on varied topics to encourage diversity in dialogue. One full year of TEAL TRUTHS have showed us how invaluable this monthly series is to the well being of our followers in finding support, new friendships, and in embracing the spirit of OVARCOMING.
